The village was one of the Kastelia (castle cities) of Santorini and its former capital. A walk through the narrow alleys of the medieval village of Pyrgos travels you to another era of the history of the island. Visit the Theotokaki church and other churches and enjoy the view across the island, when if you reach up to the monastery of Prophet Elias, the view is breathtaking.

Coming from Fira or Perissa by bus, stop at Pyrgos village, at the bus stop that is located outside the restaurant.
Coming by taxi, ask the driver for Pyrgos Restaurant at Pyrgos village.
Coming by car, follow the signs to Pyrgos village. Pyrgos Restaurant is located on the entrance of Pyrgos village (200 meters after passing the gas station on your right).
